    Econnect GL Transaction

I'm getting an error when I try to process a large amount(it works for 2400 records ) in GL Transaction through to eConnect.  eConnect is kicking out the

following error "distributed transaction completed. either enlist this session in a new transaction econnect or the null transaction"

Any body know the reason? please help me.

Althought the fine people at Microsoft might disagree with me, I think that's just too big a doc. Try sending one doc at a time...

    Re: Econnect GL Transaction

hi, Steve is right that when you are inserting the the data, how you are doing so, you are using the xml file to import it. I tested with just 50 rows and it just stuck. I use xml.

I also will be interested if you can share with me what program you are using, where and how you are sending the data. As I have econnect knowledge not much but overall I have good bussiness and technologies experience which enable me to answer you the above.

I really love to learn econnect and appreicate whoever teach to me. I have more than 900 post in Microsoft Retail Management and some more newsgroup as per me share the knowledge it will increase the education of yours.

    Re: Econnect GL Transaction

I've got more on this. You can fix this by (as noted above) going into Component Services > Computers > My Computer. Right click, Properties. Go to the Options tab and set the timeout higher.

I also had to go to the web site (I was calling eConnect from a web service) and in the Properties > Web Site tab set the timeout higher there, too.

    timeout1

    timeout2

    Re: Econnect GL Transaction

Hi I am also getting the following error while integrating GL transaction having around 1600 GL Line Entris including Analytical Accounting information.  I have changed the connection timeout in component services but no use.

I am trying to integrate GL Entries using eConnect. Some integrations are working fine but some integrations are giving the following errors

    1) A transport-level error has occurred when receiving results from the server. (provider: TCP Provider, error: 0 - An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host)

    2) The root transaction wanted to commit, but transaction aborted (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8004E002)

    3) the timeout period elapsed prior to completion of the operation

Your urgent response (or) advise is required , as it is stopping the user activities.

Most of the times these errors are occuring if the xml file is large.

Do you have to send 1600 lines at a time? Is there any way to break it into smaller packages?
